Coming Soon!
It is my intention to show multimedia presentations of coursework from digital media assignments. Most every course I taught in my electronic media curriculum required end of course presentations. My intent is to share those here as a resource. In addition, these and many more ideas will be the content in the Bootcamp for Twenty-first Century Classrooms technology training. For those of you who have followed my presentation series throughout the years, my search for the grant that will fund a national non-profit: "Bootcamp for Twenty-first Century Classrooms" is still being pursued.

Creative Book Design & Desktop Publishing
See Third year examples below of student work. They were challenged to create their own books. They developed the theme and purpose of their books, created a title and introduction and table of contents. They designed each page by manipulating their own original art, upon completion, we printed them and bound them.
These ," Published Personalities "were absolutely incredible! Here is Tina's introduction statement in her book.

Below you see the final draft along with the "mini-me" version that had to be submitted for approval before they could continue toward the completion of their final copy of their larger books.

Marketing Themselves as Artists
Senior art students prepared a marketing campaign for their own Senior Art Exhibition. Below you see two Senior Show Catalogues which included all of the art work that had been on exhibition in addition to each of their artist's statements. An introductory explanation of their exhibit was required as well as concluding remarks and expressions of appreciation. The catalogue was only one part of their marketing campaign for their Senior Shows. They had to create a front and back side of a post card invitation, a poster or flyer advertising their show, artists tags for each piece of work with completed artist's statements with the title, media and size of each work, a sign in book, a show catalogue and a one page flyer called a "leave behind" or paper portfolio with 8-10 of their best works, an artist's statement, and resume contents. These could be picked up by talent scouts from colleges, prospective bosses, or proud parents. This "leave behind" provided visual evidence of who the artist is.
A representative from a major university in Boston e-mailed us after having traveled across the United States meeting hundreds of prospective students. Their comment was that they had a clear recall of who my students were because of the incredibly beautiful resumes and "leave behinds" that we gave them on their visit to Texas. Check back periodically more of the leave behinds and marketing campaigns will be posted.

Flip Book Animation leads to Multimedia presentations
This assignment came to me because year after year, I would teach a four card stack in order to teach how to build a presentation with buttons that take you forward and back. Following that, I would also teach how to use the tools on the toolbar. It occurred to me that a FLIP BOOK would allow the students to learn the tools, add buttons forward and back and at the same time tweek their imagination for creating a sequence of events. First year students were ask to do animation, by creating a four page flip book. Well, that was the original assignment, the record stood at about 253 pages in their electronic flip books. They absolutely loved this assignment which would precede a multimedia presentation on the topic of their choice. We got so many great ideas of how to incorporate the flip books. One was that the flip book would lead to the title of the presentation, or would be created to be the credit which had the usual presented and produced by. The students did some incredible projects.
The flip books and the multimedia presentations are not uploaded yet. Be patient as I must educate myself on exactly how to do that.
