Art Games: Fun Ways to Study Art

During my third year classes, my art students worked in groups to design and package a game that reinforced the concepts being taught. They could have their game focus on art history, art appreciation, art terminology, or tools and techniques. Here are a few of the examples that have withstood the test of time. Game Friday was always a hit as well as early finishers could pull out the games. A tournament could be organized moving through the different games showing mastery of all that is being reinforced. Learning while having FUN, what a novel idea!
